Teacher Accounts:

• Email Address: Used solely for account authentication and login purposes
• Password: Encrypted and securely stored (never stored in plain text)
• Account Information: Teacher name and profile settings

Gameplay Data:

• Player Names: Entered by students when joining games (temporary, not permanently stored)
• Game Progress: Scores, wins, and marked cards during active game sessions
• Room Codes: Temporarily generated codes for multiplayer sessions (deleted after session ends)

Technical Information:

• Device Type: iOS or Android (for app compatibility)
• App Version: To ensure proper functionality
• Error Logs: Crash reports and debugging information (anonymous)

Information We DO NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do NOT collect:

• No Location Data: We do not track your physical location
• No Contact Lists: We do not access your device contacts
• No Photos or Media: We do not access your camera, photos, or media files
• No Student Personal Information: Students join games without creating accounts and provide only temporary names

How We Use Information

• Authentication: To enable teacher login and account management
• Game Functionality: To facilitate multiplayer game sessions and track progress
• App Improvement: To fix bugs, improve performance, and enhance features
• Communication: To respond to support requests (only if you contact us)

We do NOT:

• Sell your information to third parties
• Use your information for marketing purposes

Third Party Access

Backend Services

We use Supabase (https://supabase.com/) as our backend database and authentication provider. Supabase processes and stores:

• Teacher email addresses and encrypted passwords
• Game session data
• Player progress during active sessions

Data Location: Your data is stored on secure Supabase servers located in the United States.

Security: Supabase implements industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encryption at rest

No Other Third Parties

We do NOT share your information with:

• Advertising networks
• Analytics companies
• Marketing platforms
• Social media companies
• Any other third parties

The ONLY third party that has access to your data is Supabase, which is necessary for the App to function.

Student Privacy

• Students join games using 6-digit room codes provided by teachers
• Students enter a temporary name (first name or nickname only)
• These names are not permanently stored in our database
• Once a game session ends, student names are deleted
• We do not collect, store, or process any personal information from students

This design ensures maximum privacy protection for students while allowing them to participate in educational games.

Data Retention Policy

Teacher Accounts

• Teacher account information is retained as long as the account is active
• Teachers can request account deletion at any time (see “Your Rights” below)
• Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days

Game Session Data

• Game session data (room codes, player names, scores) is temporary
• Session data is automatically deleted when a session ends or becomes inactive
• Historical win counts may be retained for teacher accounts to track student progress

Logs and Technical Data

• Error logs and crash reports are retained for 90 days maximum
• Used only for debugging and improving app stability
• Automatically deleted after retention period

Children’s Privacy

Lotería Learn & Play is designed for educational use by students of all ages, including children under 13.

COPPA Compliance:

• We do NOT collect personal information from children under 13
• Students do not create accounts or provide email addresses
• The only information collected is a temporary first name or nickname during gameplay
• This information is not stored permanently and is deleted when the session ends
• We do not knowingly collect, store, or process any personal information from children

Parental Rights:

If you believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at admin@austinspanishacademy.co and we will take steps to delete such information.

Teacher Responsibility:

Teachers using the App are responsible for:

• Obtaining appropriate parental consent for classroom technology use
• Ensuring students only provide first names or nicknames (no last names)
• Not requiring students to provide any personal information

Security

We take the security of your information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures:

Encryption:

• All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
• Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard bcrypt hashing
• Data at rest is encrypted on Supabase servers

Access Controls:

• Only authorized personnel can access backend systems
• Teachers can only access their own games and sessions
• Students cannot access other students’ data

Regular Updates:

• We regularly update the App to address security vulnerabilities
• We use the latest stable versions of all software libraries

No Guarantee:

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your information:

Access and Portability

• Teachers can view their account information in the App’s profile settings
• You can request a copy of your data by contacting us

Correction

• Teachers can update their email and profile information in the App
• Contact us if you need assistance updating your information

Deletion

• Teachers can delete their accounts through the App’s settings
• Request account deletion by emailing admin@austinspanishacademy.co
• Upon deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days

Opt-Out

• You can stop using the App at any time
• Uninstalling the App will prevent further data collection
• Contact us to request deletion of any remaining data

Data Portability

• You can request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
• Contact us at admin@austinspanishacademy.co with your request

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy
